Right now, as shown in Hoopless Dragon 6, I've gotten the second wing panel about half-finished, along with the rest of that particular wing strut. I was planning on staying up late and doing a few hour embroidery session, something to give myself a break from knitting maille. Now that the hind leg is finished, all that's left of the body is the tail. Once the second wing is finished, the work on the tail should go a bit fast, mainly because the area(s) to fill in are going to be smaller.
Once I get the dragon completed, I'm going to 'quilt' the front and back together using an off-white thread and no batting in between. I'm going to attach four, 3" wide straps at the top and bottom of the banner, so that it can be securely tied to a display pole. Prior to the quilting, I'm going to get some photos of the 'backside' of the embroidery, to show how meticulous my stitching is.
Since Norwescon 33 is going to be in April 2010, I might have the banner finished in time for the Art show. Here's the

11/12/09 At this time I'm about 2/3's of the way finished with the rest of the main wing. Once that's finished, I'll get started on the second wing before working on the tail.
11/13/09 Finished the wing membrane and am starting on the second wing.
